Rock Island Chapter

AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MILITARY COMPTROLLERS, ROCK ISLAND CHAPTER, announces a local scholarship program.  To give back to our community and assist our members and their families, the Rock Island Chapter of ASMC will offer scholarships to deserving individuals seeking a college education. 

The number of scholarships awarded will depend on available funding and the quality of applicants.  All applications will be prioritized by the scholarship committee.  Awards will range from $250 to $1000.

The basic criteria for the scholarships are:

• Applicant is pursuing a college-level degree from an accredited college

• Educational goals are clearly stated and meaningful

• The applicant, parent, or grandparent is a current member of ASMC

While students in all fields of study are eligible, priorities will be given to students who are pursuing a degree in business, accounting, finance, or a comptroller-related field.  Priorities will be provided to students who are active in other activities, especially those who volunteer in the community.

All applications for scholarships from our local chapter must be submitted to Susie Clay (email: asmcri@gmail.com ) by CLOSED.  The scholarship committee will prioritize and determine awards.  Awardees will be notified by email or telephone on or before REVISED 25 July 2011.
